Worship & the Arts
"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." James 4:8
COVID-19 UPDATE: As we return to in-person worship at CEPC on August 9, there will be many changes. Childcare, nursery services, and Sunday school classes will not be available at this point. Learn more: In-Person Worship [August 4, 2020]
Our vision is to lead people to draw near to God through Christ-centered worship.
Each Sunday we praise and glorify the Lord through worship that is Word-centered and draws from the rich well of music and praise that is the church's heritage. Our Worship Ministry seeks to provide people with a means to draw near to God through contemporary, traditional, and classical music, rather than appealing to a singular taste or a limited musical style. It is our prayer that this ministry will provide a means through word and music for each participant in worship to drink from this well for the refreshment of his or her soul.
There are many opportunities to serve in the Worship Ministry. We offer choirs, worship band, orchestra, and a drama ministry, as well as opportunities to serve with media, ushers/greeters, and communion set up. Learn more about service opportunities in the Worship Ministry.
The Concert Choir & Orchestra, along with special guest soloists, present Handel's Messiah each December. Mark your calendar for our 2019 16th anniversary performances at 8 pm December 12, 13 & 14. Learn more about Messiah at CEPC
