Worship Ministry

Worship

Our vision is to lead people to worship God through ordinary means of grace.

Each Lord’s Day we praise and glorify the Lord through worship that is Word-centered and draws from the rich well of music that is the church's heritage. Our Worship Ministry seeks to provide people with a means to draw near to God with the singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs through modern and traditional styles.

Service

There are many opportunities to serve in the Worship Ministry. We offer a Worship Choir, Concert Choir, Orchestra, as well as opportunities to serve with media, ushers/greeters, and communion set up. Learn more about service opportunities in the Worship Ministry.

CEPC Band

The CEPC Band is an integral part of our Sunday morning worship experience. We strive to create a diverse and unique worship style, which comprises modern, traditional and classical music.

Worship Choir

The Worship Choir is the adult choir of Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church. This group is for adults of all ages. Our primary focus is to lead worship for our Sunday worship services. We sing anthems that draw from the rich treasure trove of music found throughout history. This is a non-auditioned choir that is looking for people who love to lead worship and sing great choral music. Come join us!

Concert Choir

The Concert Choir rehearses for our annual Handel’s Messiah Concert in the fall. If you are interested in being part of our 2021 performances, please contact BJ McDougal.

In addition to Handel's Messiah, our Concert Choir performs other choral masterworks that comprise the rich tradition of choral singing throughout the centuries.

You do not have to be in the Worship Choir to participate, but you must possess an advanced level of vocal and choral skills.

Handel's Messiah

The Concert Choir & Orchestra, along with special guest soloists, present Handel's Messiah each December. Unfortunately, given the current COVID-19 climate, we will not be able to present Messiah this year. Beginning December 10, 2020, we will post a video recording of our 2019 performance of Handel’s Messiah to bring a bit of our CEPC family tradition into the Advent season.
